Willie Lou has always livedĀ in Covington County. She was born a Dickens before marriage, and she had three sisters and a brother. As a child she enjoyed hopscotch, hide-and-seek, playhouses, and mud pies. She graduated from Salem High School and then worked at Movie Star. She lived two years in Seminary before building her house. Attending church was a big part of her life. She was the Sunday School secretary for many years at Station Creek Baptist.
She was married to Ray Aultman, and then she became the mother of two sons, Kenneth and Larry. Larry is now deceased. Ray was a carpenter and worked at Thyer House Manufacturing. Ray has been deceased for 12 years. Willie Lou has lived at Covington Ridge for four years.
There’s my sweet, beautiful friend, Sis Willie Lou Aultman! I first met this sweet lady at church_Station Creek Missionary Baptist Church. I always admired her, as she was a very nice, friendly Christian lady. Her whole family was awesome! We miss her so much. We must get by there to see her soon! We love Sis. Willie Lou!!
I have fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Aultman. My Aunt married their son Kenneth. Actually, I was their flower girl. I would go visit them as a young girl and would see the Aultman’s. They were always so sweet and kind to me. I have always admired the both of them.
One of the sweetest most direct ladies I know! Love her so much!!
